Per sachet NaCl 640 mg, KCl 370 mg, Na citrate 720 mg, anhydrous glucose 3350 mg
Indications/Uses
Hypotonic dehydration resulting from diarrhoea, vomiting & physical exertion.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Reconstitution: Dissolve 1 sachet in 240 mL of cool, boiled water & to be taken orally. Adult & childn >12 yr 4 x 240 mL for the 1st 2 hr & may be taken as 12 x 240 mL a day. Childn >5 to 12 yr 4 x 240 mL for the 1st 2 hr & may be taken as 8 x 240 mL a day, 2-5 yr 3 x 240 mL for the 1st 2 hr & may be taken as 6 x 240 mL a day, <2 yr 240 mL for the 1st 2 hr & may be taken as 3 x 240 mL a day.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Renal impairment or hyperkalaemia.
Special Precautions
Impaired renal function, cardiac failure, HTN. Pregnancy & lactation.
